Recently discovered: Rotation. Classicals thinkers of space reexamined
I recently discovered an article of note, published in issue 47 (2002) of the German journal Texte zur Kunst (Texts on Art): In "Rotation: Raum-Klassiker neu sortiert" several canonical texts on space and/or place are reexamined.

The texts discussed include:
  • SCEPTICS OF SPACE
Henri Lefebvre: Production de l'espace (1974)
Marc Augé: Lieux et non-lieux. Introduction à une anthropologie de la surmodernité (1992)
  • HOPE BRINGERS
Michel Foucault: "Des espaces autres" (1967)
Michel de Certeau: "Pratiques d'espace" (1980)
  • SPECIALISTS OF PLACE
Brian O'Doherty: "Inside the White Cube" (1976)
Martin Heidegger: "Die Kunst und der Raum" (1969)
  • INTERIOR DESIGNERS
Theodor W. Adorno: Kierkegaard. Konstruktion des Ästhetischen (1931)
Maurice Merleau-Ponty: Phénoménologie de la perception (1946)
  • TIGER IN THE ATTIC
Gaston Bachelard: La poétique de l'espace (1957)
Jorge Luis Borges: The Library of Babel (1941)
Even if one does not subscribe to the results of each and every reexamination (incidentally, I disagree with quite a few of the judgements), this article offers rather short but nonetheless relatively reliable accounts of the theories discussed.
